John T. Amend is founder and President of The Amend Group, an innovative, creative and “out of box” commercial real estate solutions company. Since the Company’s inception in 1989, The Amend Group has evolved from a tenant representation firm to an integrator of real estate services including tenant brokerage, architecture/interior design, construction management, and project management. Through innovative processes and the brightest creative minds and technology, The Amend Group has revolutionized the planning and implementation of complex business decisions, significantly compressing project schedules and minimizing costs.
Prior to forming The Amend Group, John served as a Certified Public Accountant with a national accounting firm, as the president of a finance company and as a development partner with one of the world’s largest real estate companies. In 1983, he channeled his energy towards expanding the real estate services industry, overseeing the formation and growth of The Staubach Company.
Regarded as a leader and innovator in the real estate industry, John Amend’s personal commitment to client satisfaction is a driving force behind the success of The Amend Group.
John and his wife, Teresa, have three children. Dallas natives, John and Teresa are active participants and supporters of various real estate, church, charitable and community organizations. John graduated magna cum laude and received a degree in accounting from The University of Texas. He enjoys bowling, golf, hunting, fly fishing and traveling with his family.
