Project Management at The Amend Group provided on-site management of the development of this 374,000 sf office campus. MCI, a premier provider of fully integrated local, long distance, international and Internet services, required a solution for consolidating their personnel from multiple leases distributed around the metropolitan St. Louis area to a single campus at the right location. After a comprehensive market evaluation and a site search throughout St. Louis & St. Charles counties, The Amend Group selected and acquired a site that would minimize employee commute inconveniences and combine the attributes of cost effectiveness, flexibility and employee attraction/retention.
The site selected for the MCI campus facility was a 37-acre tract that was ideal for the 374,000 square foot office complex that would satisfy MCI’s requirements. Project Management staffed the project with a field project manager on site and a project director. Management, integration and coordination of the project was done by Project Management, who managed the master planning, design, budget, schedule, construction and quality of the project for MCI.
The completed facility includes three 3-story office buildings with the cafeteria and fitness center incorporated in the design. Surface parking was utilized for over 3000 employees at the complex.
